Trust the Process

As I was beginning the process of doing my hair, I thought about how long the process can be I had twists in my hair, so my process started by taking them out. Then I washed, deep conditioned, and conditioned my hair. That was just the start of the process. Lol. After I detangled and twisted my hair, I took a break to be apart of my book club. After bookclub the Stellar awards came on, so I was multitasking, blow drying my hair on commercial breaks đŸ˜‚đŸ€Ł. It took me about 1.5 hours to finish (minus the breaks in between 😂).

Every time I do my hair, I get to a certain part in the process when I’m trying to figure out, who is going to do the rest? Lol. I’m like did my part, I’m done. Lol.

Everything in life is a process. Many times we get focused on the end result, but forget there was a process to get the end result. We look at how peoples lives are and forget they had a process to get to that point. I was “reading,” well more like listening to Tabitha Brown’s newest book, “Feeding the Soul” (good read by the way) and she was talking about how long it took her to get to her current place. She has been in the industry for over 20 years. Many people just see her doing big things now, but they don’t know all that she went through to get here.

We have to remember that there is a process for us to get to where we are going as well. We cannot give up in the middle of the process. We must keep going and stay encouraged. “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬.

Keep going, the process is worth it. Think of your past and the many processes you have gone through. It was tough in the moment, but you got through it and were better after.     Isaiah 40:19-31 NIV reminds us, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” So keep pushing and striving towards the end. God will strengthen you for your journey, keep him as your partner in this journey.

To finish the story, I finally got my hair finished and to think that was only one step in the process 😆. The next day I finished the process and went to get my hair done. I love it!!! There is a reward at the end, keep going. The process is hard in the moment, but so very rewarding.
