Identity in Isolation
When we strip away the accessories of this world, will we still carry ourselves the same? Maybe the weight of perception being taken off one’s shoulders will allow us to be pleasantly light in the present. Resting vulnerably and naked in his presence, seeking him & not the validation of things. Finally, slowing down long enough to realize the hamster wheel called best life we’ve been on…. Taking this time to rest from running. God longs to know you the same way he knew you before he formed you. He’s tired of hearing countless busy signals. So, he’s cut the signal in our service. Disrupting our routines, timelines, & schedules, hoping that life’s chaos would bring divine connection.
God’s love overtakes us & overwhelms us in an effort to eternally save us. For it is not His plan that ANY of us should perish but if a virus will allow Him to finally go viral I say thank you God for another flood known as the Coronavirus.
Prayer: Thank you God for creating individual Isolation Care Units (ICU) so you can repair our identities in you oh God. Thank you for sending your word to become our ventilators as we breathe in your promises and breath out our fears. Touch those that are fighting feelings of depression and restore those who were already buried beneath the debris of social status, affiliations and churchy aesthetics. As the world groans Lord for your sons and daughters, light to shine on the earth remove the scales of distractions from our eyes. Help us to yield to your way and say yes to life more abundantly. Let your glory be revealed in the midst of this pandemic. In Jesus name, Amen!
