Blessing in the Press

Can you believe we are here, it is New Year's Eve 2024! It seems like this year flew by, I feel like I was just celebrating the new year and going through the year and now, the year has come to an end.

How was your Christmas? Mine was awesome. I'm still reaping the benefits of my Christmas 2024. I was able to spend Christmas with family. During our Christmas service my cousin shared a message on the word, Benediction. When we think of the word, we think of the close of a service, the closing word. My cousin broke down the word and I learned the word benediction means a good word. I also googled the word and it was defined as a blessing or expression of good wishes, often given at the end of a religious service. At the close of my cousin's message, he encouraged each of us to give a good word to a family member. We were put in pairs and gave a word of encouragement, prayer, blessing, etc, whatever the Lord gave you to share with the person you were paired with. It was an incredible service and I left feeling empowered to share my good words with others.

This past Saturday, I had the opportunity to participate in an Annual Women's Brunch. During the brunch, we did the same activity, giving a good word to another woman in attendance. As we were closing someone shared how special the event was and what she had gone through to get to the brunch. My interpretation of what she shared was, "there is a blessing in the press." In life, we have good days and not so good days, but we have to be intentional of pressing, even when we do not feel like it, knowing that when we do there is a blessing in it. As we enter into 2025, my word for you is to remember, there is a blessing in the press. Keep persevering, keep moving forward, keep doing the things God has called you to do. Don't give up, it will pay off because God is faithful to his children.

Wishing you and your family a prosperous  New Year! May God exceed your expectations in 2025 and beyond, may you grow closer to him and fulfill your purpose according to God's will. Happy New Year!
